Emergency services at international hospital units in China: what Beijing and Shanghai government pages list

The Beijing and Shanghai governments' English pages say different things about emergency services at the international units and hospitals they list. This page sets out what each page lists. It does not rate, compare or recommend any hospital, and it gives no medical advice.

The general emergency number in Beijing

The Beijing Municipal People's Government's Medical Guide for Foreigners says that in an emergency in Beijing, people can dial (+8610) 120 to request pre-hospital emergency medical services. It also says almost all hospitals are equipped with emergency departments.
